Well, unless you’re J.R. Smith. We should all know by now ol’ J.R. operates a little differently than the rest of us.

Immediately after Game 3, a tweet floated into the Twittersphere from Smith’s verified account with a short statement: “Cavs in 7.” (Side note: The tweet was sent before the Cavs’ locker room was open. That’s a violation of the NBA’s social media policy.)

The tweet was then deleted only minutes later, but it had already received more than 20,000 retweets. Smith claimed his account was hacked.

UPDATE: Smith confirmed to Cleveland.com he did not send the “Cavs in 7” tweet after Game 3.

“I got out of the shower and my phone was buzzing. I did not tweet that,” Smith said. “I’m smarter than that.”
