Fans were first tricked by a fake video of Jack Black supposedly playing Fortnite, but now they can enjoy some actual footage of the Tenacious D frontman playing video games. Better yet, the video game he chose to play is Brutal Legend, the Double Fine-developed game that actually stars Jack Black in the main role.

In Brutal Legend, Jack Black plays the role of Eddie Riggs, a roadie for a metal band that has to fight off monsters using a variety of unique, music-based weaponry. The game received generally positive reviews at the time of its release, but like many Double Fine games, struggled sales-wise. It since went on to sell over 1 million copies, and Jack Black even won an award for his voice work as Eddie Riggs in the game.

Brutal Legend fans will likely have fun watching Jack Black play the game, and it may make some hungry for a sequel. Despite Brutal Legend’s relatively poor initial sales, Tim Schafer has said that a Brutal Legend 2 will happen at some point. Schafer made these comments at E3 2017, and hasn’t made any remarks on the possibility of a sequel since then, but that could be because he’s currently busy with Psychonauts 2.

While fans wait on news of a proper Brutal Legend sequel, it’s worth pointing out that the game is technically playable on at least one current-generation console. Thanks to the Xbox One’s backward compatibility with the Xbox 360, Brutal Legend fans can replay the game on Xbox One, though it unfortunately doesn’t have any Xbox One X enhancements.

Whether or not a Brutal Legend sequel ever materializes remains to be seen, but perhaps if star Jack Black pushes for it enough, it could one day become a reality.

Brutal Legend is out now for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
