Franklin, entering his third season as the Nittany Lions coach, quickly deleted his tweet. It read, “Family, Chemistry & Culture! Vital ingredients to TEAM success which come from TEAM work. #WeAreFamily #TeamF1rst”
Franklin has gone 7-6 in each of his first two seasons in Happy Valley, but improved from a 2-6 Big Ten record in 2014 to a 4-4 mark last season. It’s easy to figure out what he intended in his tweet, but he clearly failed in its execution.
